How does guitar rig 5 work

Hi, I just upgraded from 5 to 6. It did not load correctly and I had to make a few changes in the registry My take is it is worth every penny. I use Guitar Rig every day so it is a big deal for me. I am unable to play through my amps very often due to neighbors, wives There are over pre sets.

Some new amps,and some new effects. Less digital sounding than Guitar Rig 5. The effects can be used for things other than guitar. Vocals, piano, most anything really. Native Instruments makes really good products. This is actually the first time I have ever had any issues with their stuff.

They are located in Berlin and have good help but both you and I are in Florida I think. I was able to figure this issue out with stuff on their website but I could have ask for help also. I am very happy with the program. It is running in my DAW without issue. You guys likely don't want or need to hear this but what could it hurt.

Several months ago I did a deep dive in my search for tone. I tried to listen to any and all who offered a demo including NI Guitar Rig 6. In my hunt I was not looking for tweakability or most knobs or number of different amp models.

I have no interest in building a rig. I was looking for playability, flexibility and tone in an available preset at a good price point. There is a lot of stuff out there. Anytime I get really serious there is a SM 57 in front of one of the amps I designed and built setting downstairs in the garage. Only isolation I have here. All of these amp software programs have something to offer. The guitar after some lucky clicks i got to sound from the computer speakers, but when i opened GR 5 and activated the demo, all i got were buzzes and noises and no effects.

I followed the manual but to no progress. I dont know if my processor is slow too, because some times i got that the CPU was or over, other times the CPU didnt even go over 6, so it was very frustrating.

When GR5 was working and i could play guitar no effects, like in prob 1 , i coulnt play songs from my computer. The media player showed an error that it coulnt play it. When i removed the guitar, i could play songs again. Right now i cant do anything with GR5 and from what ive read, il need a very good expensive sound card and a good processor to use the GR5 to full extent without problems. There's a good chance that the default is your computer mic being used, instead of the line in or some other mismatch. Remove any effects when trying to figure out those settings, in order to avoid feedback. Check the input levels to see your progress. Sound card issue: the RK3 is a sound card, so since you were thinking about buying one, that will have you covered if your computer isn't up to the task.
