Valkyrie profile 2 where is seraphic gate
Well, any combination of characters can work, but if you're looking to upgrade your party, then some characters that join you through the Seraphic Gate may be worth looking at: Dylan - He is the best heavy warrior in the game after from level 46 on. Unless you need a particular move from an einherjar heavy warrior's arsenal in your combo, there's no reason not to upgrade to Dylan. Lezard - No, unless you have no sorcerers left and you need one for some reason.
You're pretty much better off with almost any other einherjar sorcerer. Leone - No. Brahms - Probably the best all-around tank in the game. Can add a decent amount to the hit counter, but isn't too good with dealing damage. Between his high HP, high elemental resistances, regenerative abilities, and Miracle Guard compatibility, no other character can soak damage up like he can.
Hrist - The Gungnir makes her damage pretty nice for a short while, but otherwise, no. Her attacks are also quite awkward. Lenneth - Maybe. Probably the best light warrior in the game in terms of physical damage. Combo ability is pretty good.
Learns Reflect Sorcery. Silmeria - Slight upgrade to Lylia if you've been using her for elemental damage, but otherwise no. Rufus is the best archer in the game in many respects. Valkyrie - Best light warrior in the game in terms of elemental damage. She also has the best elemental resistances in the game, making her a pretty good tank for elemental damage, but she isn't as durable for Brahms.
The issue with all of the female characters above is that they're 1 female and except for Silmeria, are 2 non-projectile. If a character doesn't have access to the White Loincloth accessory or the Stone Hurler Wrath sealstone or both, their damage will be quite a bit behind the characters that do. Lenneth does have access to the Arondight Sword, which has the same effect as the White Loincloth, but its base ATK is so small that she'll need stat boosting to do any appreciable damage with it.
Freya - Ether Laser and very high physical multipliers in some of her attacks e. Her Victory Sword is also considered a projectile attack, so it will do twice as much damage when you're holding Stone Hurler Wrath.
The problem with your setup is that you have too many defensive and curative elements in it, which turns each boss fight into a battle of attrition. Each boss fight in the Seraphic Gate can be trivialized down to a couple of attacks if you completely focus on offense, which involves stacking as many damage and ATK multipliers as possible. Despite leaving yourself completely defenseless, it really is the easiest and fastest way to deal with them.
The board sticky tells you pretty much everything you need to know; you just have to adapt its strategy to a party e. Unfortunately if you don't have the required sealstones, skills, and equipment, you're going to have to get them, which could fall under your definition of grinding although skills and equipment are pretty easy to get.
But honestly, being two bosses away from the end of the game, so if you don't feel like doing more legwork then you should just try EQ and the boss after and see how it goes.
A Kouji posted Ok thanks! What's the best way to get Dragon Rib and Incense, that's all I'm missing for the definitive setup against Ethereal Queen?
Mm, the White Loincloth would be best against Iseria Queen since it doubles damage against female enemies, but only Gabriel Celeste drops it so it's pretty easy to miss on your first loop through Seraphic Gate. The Incense can be obtained from the tip of the right tentacle of the Damp Clayman, which is found from a crawling enemy on the second floor Wodin's of the Seraphic Gate. I don't remember which attacks can reach the tentacle, but maybe Brahms' Overhammer or a generic heavy warrior's Sweep Dive.
It should be pretty easy to get by now; just attack from the front and break the head to get at the neck base. Also be sure to equip your heavy warriors with a Tyrfing. The room adjacent to the room with the exit mirror has two crawling enemies--the left one rarely spawns Tiamat. Also, should I send all my useless Einherjar and give all my stat boosting items to Freya? Sorry for double posting, can't edit yet, new account. I've just noticed that 12 AP won't be enough to equip all the needed skills.
Is leveling up the only way to gain more AP? User Info: RaphaelBelmont. RaphaelBelmont posted Oh, and what about stat boosting items? It also has an antechamber, from which you can go back to the World Map whenever you like. The antechamber contains a save point, a dais , a spring and a data crystal which displays various statistics about your character. It also contains a one-way teleportation mirror. Each floor of the Gate has its own one-way mirror, linking to this one, thus creating shortcuts back to the entrance.
In addition, another mirror on the first floor creates a shortcut to the fourth floor, once its counterpart there has been activated. In order to gain access to the Gate proper, the player must first defeat a boss within the antechamber. To the left of the antechamber is the Sound Room. It contains a band of Kobolds which will play any piece from the game's soundtrack for a price. Some of the tracks need to be unlocked by exploring the Gate. Kobolds can also be found throughout the dungeon in dog houses.
Activating these will trigger humorous cutscenes of Kobolds mockingly reenacting scenes from the game, followed by an easy battle against them. Each floor of the Gate except the fifth contains at least one Puzzle Room. These look like large domes and require advanced platforming and photon manipulation to reach valuable items.
Each floor also features a boss, located in a similar domed room, which the player must defeat to open the way to the next floor. Talking to either one of the three Kobolds will let you choose a song from the game's soundtrack from a list.
However, the songs will all be designated by numbers and letters, rather than their names. Some of the tracks can only be accessed after the Gate has been cleared once, and others can only be accessed on a harder difficulty clearing the Gate twice or more. You need to pursue it to the room which contains the teleportation mirror to the first floor in order to fight it. Furthermore, if you want to encounter Hammy, you need to let the Hamster ambush you.
Similarly, Heimdual! Walther and Gyne also return as regular enemies, as well as Arectaris. Seraphic Gate in this game is unlocked once the player has one or multiple save files with the three different endings completed.
